I trained as a Pilates Instructor having experienced the fantastic benefits of Pilates on my own body. I have always had a lot of interest in health and fitness and was amazed to see the different side to exercise that Pilates introduces.
I am an experienced Advanced Level 3 Pilates Instructor, and Personal Trainer, I have undertaken specialised training enabling me to teach Ante/Post Natal, Older Adults and Exercise Referral clients, allowing me to teach clients with chronic conditions, such as Osteoporosis, Arthritis, Cardiovascular & Respiratory conditions, Diabetes, Obesity, Neurological & Mental Health conditions. I am a Level 4 Lower Back Pain Specialist so can confidently prescribe exercises to help alleviate lower back pain.
I’ve now qualified as a Yoga Instructor, to add another string to my bow; one of the main differences between Yoga and Pilates is that Yoga can be used for improving the flexibility of the body and it will also gradually increase the flexibility of your joints. Whereas Pilates focuses on trying to relax muscles which are tense and provide strengthening of the numerous muscles of the body.
In addition I am a Level 4 Sports Massage Therapist, with a special knowledge of general injuries, sports injuries, physical activity, and how massage can improve movement and activity.
